About
HostGator is a long-running budget shared host aimed at small sites, hobby projects, and first websites. Setup is cPanel-based and straightforward, most plans include unmetered bandwidth, and intro prices are among the lowest in the industry. A fine pick if your budget is the deciding factor. Pros: very low intro prices, unmetered bandwidth on most plans, simple cPanel setup, money-back guarantee. Cons: renewal rates run much higher than intro pricing, upsells during signup, performance is average when sites get busy. Pricing shown is approximate intro pricing and changes often — check the host's site for the current price.
